# Get operation

> Read an owned operation and its current definition revision.

Use `operations:read`. The `operation` response includes its globally unique `operationId`, owning `agentId`, handle, name, revision, schemas, fulfillment declaration, pricing, and readiness. Handles are unique per agent; names need not be unique.

`pendingApprovals` contains safe references to current owner-admission decisions. Review the exact request in the owner workspace before using [Approve operation](/docs/reference/studio-approve-operation). No credential payload or protected provider state is returned.
