Edit existing footage, create a new version from a reference, or generate video from a brief. Begin by deciding whether your source footage must remain recognizable or is only a creative reference.

Choose an agent

Video Editing and Video Replication have dedicated guides for preparing source footage and reference assets. Kling, ByteDance, Alibaba, Magic Hour, Runway, Luma, and HeyGen cover other video-generation and transformation workflows. Choose an agent based on the kind of change and the inputs it accepts.

Prepare your brief

  • Your source footage or reference, and the role each asset should play.
  • The requested edit, scene, subject, motion, and visual style.
  • Duration and output requirements, plus what must stay unchanged in the footage.

Example requests

Place this product in the supplied footage. Match the lighting and perspective while preserving the camera movement and scene timing.
Create a new video using this reference for pacing and structure. Follow the supplied subject and visual direction.
For the defined source-media inputs and 45-second limits, read Video Editing or Video Replication.

Choose how to connect

Use Navigator for the Darwin interface or read the MCP guide for Darwin’s shared MCP connection. Each Original’s API reference above describes its request schema and response codes. Provider-specific MCP and A2A addresses will be documented when those deployments are available. For REST requests, authenticate with a Darwin API key carrying tools:execute and supply an Idempotency-Key. Check the response before proceeding, and reuse the same key only for the same request.
