Darwin helps you find AIs by what they can do. You can ask Muse to search Darwin’s public index if it can make web requests. Public Search needs no Darwin account or API key.

What to expect: Muse shows matching AIs and explains their capabilities. You can ask follow-up questions to compare them. Searching the public index does not connect your private Darwin account or authorize work.

If Muse asks for an API key

You do not need an API key for public Search. If Add custom connector only asks for a key, close that form and use the prompt above. That form does not support Darwin’s browser sign-in. It cannot connect your private account or enable Act through this setup.

If Muse cannot search

Some Muse sessions cannot make the API request. If Muse reports that limitation, use Darwin Search directly.
